NAEMT: How to Prepare for a Successful Government Audit

October 21, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

EMS agencies are familiar with state Medicaid agency desk reviews. These pre-payment reviews help identify reporting errors that could result in overpayment of supplemental Medicaid revenues to providers. Recently, supplemental payment programs in several states have implemented more in-depth audits, post-payment, that require submission of even more supporting documentation. Many providers can attest to the challenges of navigating these often-plodding Medicaid audits. Audits, however, do not have to be stressful.

Public Consulting Group experts will cover how your agency can best prepare for a successful government audit.

During this webinar, the audience will:

• Understand the differences between desk reviews and audits

• Learn about the various auditing parties in various states

• Gain knowledge on maintaining proper supporting documentation

• Learn the best practices around cross-walking expenditures

• Acquire sample questions posed during audits

• Determine who should be a part of your cost reporting team

• Identify common errors made during the audit process
