James O. Page EMS Achievement Award

A few months ago, the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) held the annual Fire-Rescue Med conference. Public Consulting Group (PCG) was honored to sponsor the James O. Page EMS Achievement award which was presented at the event to an exceptional leader and individual who has made an impact in fire-based EMS management and leadership.

PCG and IAFC first partnered in 2019 to assist fire departments in understanding new federal regulations which require ground ambulance transport agencies to gather data on their agency’s ground ambulance transportation services, also known as the Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection program. This partnership helps fire departments better track their agencies cost related emergency medical service operations and performances, establish and maximize Medicaid revenue enhancement opportunities, and equip departments with the tools they need to successfully participate in the Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection program.

The James O. Page EMS Achievement Award has a rich history and is one that hits home for PCG as one of our very own PCG team members, Ken Riddle retired Deputy Fire Chief of Las Vegas Fire Department, was a recipient of this award in 2008. This year, PCG was thrilled to congratulate Randolph Mantooth as the recipient of the award. Mantooth played a key role in creating and promoting nonclinical innovation and achievements and had a positive impact in the fire-based EMS community across the United States. He is best-known for this portrayal of Johnny Gage on the television program, “Emergency.”

PCG is very proud to sponsor the James O. Page award because we are dedicated to supporting the critical role fire and EMS agencies play in providing much needed emergency medical and fire safety services to their communities.
