SUMMARY:IAFCs 3 Pondering Points Regarding Alternative Transport Destinations
DESCRIPTION:The concept of transporting patients somewhere other than an emergency department surely is innovative … but it may also be impractical. Whether your ambulance service is participating in the ET3 initiative or not\, now’s the time to start pondering these three points regarding alternative transport destinations.\n\n Examining whether transporting patients to an alternative destination is feasible or practical for your ambulance service and system.\n Assessing whether your community is set-up with the right health care infrastructure to handle alternative patient transports.\n Evaluating whether transporting patients to an alternative destination solves the problem\, or simply moves it to another location.
